Bureau County consists of fourteen districts with high schools, junior high schools, a middle school, grade schools, and elementary schools. In addition there are three preschool facilities available as well as the Zearing Child Development Center (formerly Bureau County Day Care).
Illinois Valley Community College, lying just outside Bureau County in Oglesby, Illinois, offers associates degrees in a wide variety of subjects. Evening classes help those seeking continuing their education.
Church affiliated schools are St. Louis Catholic Grade School, www.stlschool.net, and the Princeton Christian Academy (prekindergarten through ten). St. Bede Academy high school near Dalzell has been an institution of quality learning for over a century. Visit www.st-bede.com.
