Amtrak service and Interstate 80 provide easy access as well as the nearby LaSalle-Peru airport. The Burlington Northern-Sante Fe rail line, with rail access, runs through parts of Bureau County.

Organizations

National organizations have a place in Bureau County. Rotary International has clubs in Princeton and Walnut. Optimists, Jaycees, women's groups, youth groups, recreational groups such as Ducks Unlimited, Friends of the Canal, and Spring Valley Boat Club are just a few of the local clubs and groups Bureau County has to offer.
